Home on the Range

Another event that kept us busy in the month of May was our trip to my husbands roots - Nebraska, home of the Cornhuskers! We had such a blast! I had never been out West much, but I hope to explore it more someday soon. It is SO beautiful out there! Most people that I told that we went to Nebraska were pretty snooty about it. "Why would you ever want to go there," they said, "isn't it just flat?". I have seen it and it is not just flat, my friends. It is basically a vast expanse of the earth that can be seen in every direction. Rolling hills, swaying grass, no trees to block the horizon or the land. Just perfect.

Any who, we had a blast. We went four wheeling, shooting, prairie dog hunting, hiking on the bluffs, ate delicious food, saw family, and so much more. Here are a few photos from the trip....

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend! :)

May Showers Bring May Babies!

Okay, so I apologize for all the silence around here... not that anybody is constantly checking this blog to see if something is posted. The month of May was absolutely INSANE. You should have seen my house... it was scary! Events happened one right after the other. I had pretty much no time at home. At one point my husband even apologized because of all the laundry that had piled up.

So anyways....

One of the main events in the month of May was a certain baby shower that I hosted for my oldest sister, Lauren. It turned out wonderfully! The best part is that baby Ethan is HERE! He was born May 31st at 3:11am.

I figured since Ethan is now in the real world I should share some pictures from his shower! :)

Disclaimer: when it comes to anything, food is the number one priority. Therefore, don't be stunned when I show you a bunch of pictures of just food!
(if you are surprised... look at the title of the blog you are reading, huh!)
